St Andrews Golf Trips — Guaranteed Tee Times on the Old Course

Golf International is one of only a handful of companies in the world officially appointed as an Authorised Provider of Old Course Guaranteed Tee Times by the St Andrews Links Trust. No ballot. No uncertainty. Just the most iconic round of golf in the world, confirmed.

The Most Famous Golf Course on Earth

There is no course like the Old Course at St Andrews. It is where the game began, where the rules were written, and where every golfer — from weekend club player to major champion — eventually makes their pilgrimage. Since 1552, kings, queens, and the greatest players the world has ever known have stood on the first tee, crossed the Swilcan Bridge, and walked into the Valley of Sin on 18.

It is not merely a golf course. It is the soul of the game.

Playing the Old Course is on more golfers’ bucket lists than any other course in the world. The challenge for most is getting on. The ballot system that governs tee time access turns away thousands of applicants every year. For independent travelers, the odds of a confirmed tee time are not in their favor.

Golf International removes that uncertainty entirely.

Authorised Provider of Old Course Guaranteed Tee Times

Golf International is officially appointed by the St Andrews Links Trust as an Authorised Provider of Old Course Guaranteed Tee Times — one of a small number of companies in the world to hold this designation.

What that means for you: when you book a St Andrews golf trip through Golf International, your Old Course tee time is confirmed. No ballot entry required. No waiting on luck. You will stand on the first tee of the most famous course in golf, and you will know it months before you travel.

This is the single most significant advantage Golf International offers for St Andrews — and it is one that virtually no independent traveler can replicate on their own.

Beyond the Old Course — The Full St Andrews Area

A St Andrews golf trip does not begin and end at the Old Course. The Links Trust operates six courses on the St Andrews Links, and the surrounding Fife coastline is home to some of Scotland’s most compelling golf.

The St Andrews Links Courses:

  • New Course — redesigned in 1895, consistently ranked among Scotland’s top 20; a worthy test in its own right
  • Jubilee Course — redesigned by Donald Steel, the most challenging of the St Andrews Links courses after the Old
  • Castle Course — the newest Links Trust course, set on clifftops above the town with panoramic views across St Andrews Bay
  • Eden Course — more accessible, ideal for warming up before or cooling down after the Old Course
  • Strathtyrum Course — the most forgiving of the six, perfect for higher-handicap players

The Fife Coastal Portfolio:

  • Kingsbarns Golf Links — consistently ranked in the world’s top 50; coastal farmland meets North Sea drama
  • Carnoustie Championship Course — an hour south of St Andrews, ranked 16th in the world by Golf Digest; the most demanding Open Championship venue in Scotland
  • Ladybank Golf Club — inland gem, frequently used as an Open qualifying venue
  • Crail Balcomie Links — one of the oldest courses in Scotland, compact and beautiful on the Fife coast
  • Elie Golf House Club — a hidden classic, beloved by those who know it
  • Scotscraig Golf Club — underrated Fife links, an Open Championship qualifying course

Golf International builds multi-day St Andrews area packages around any combination of the above.

St Andrews — The Town Itself

Part of what makes a St Andrews golf trip unlike any other is the town. St Andrews is a golf town in a way no other place on earth can claim. The courses run through it, the history permeates it, and the culture revolves around the game in a way that is completely unique.

Stay on the 18th fairway at the Old Course Hotel and watch golfers play the Road Hole from your window. Walk the same cobbled streets that Young Tom Morris walked. Have a pint in Dunvegan — the oldest pub in St Andrews, where the game’s greatest players have celebrated and commiserated for generations. Browse the British Golf Museum, the finest golf museum in the world, which sits beside the first tee of the Old Course.

Golf International matches your accommodation to the experience you want — from the iconic Old Course Hotel and the five-star Fairmont St Andrews to more intimate options within walking distance of the first tee.
