The golfing venues were fabulous and being able to attend The Open Championship at Carnoustie was very special, but what a thrill to play St. Andrews Old Course. The history and tradition are unparalleled. Walking up the 18th fairway with St. Andrews in the distance and walking across the Swilken Bridge, you can’t help but think of all the champions who have walked those very same steps.
Jim our driver/guide did an outstanding job. He was always on time, always very accommodating and always had interesting information to relay about the area we were in. He really helped make the tour as great as it was. His historical knowledge is most impressive.
Thanks also to Golf International’s New York staff, Liz and Vickie were always very helpful and answered any questions we had.
