Golf International did a great job introducing us to Portugal and Portuguese golf.

Vilamoura Old Course was thoroughly enjoyable, we loved everything about the place and the San Lorenzo Course was another great track and a terrific experience. Topping them all was Monte Rei, which proved to be everyone’s favorite. The facilities were exceptional with excellent, friendly service throughout – just a spectacular experience all around. Quinto do Lago’s North Course was surprisingly good and the Victoria Course at Vilamoura was a great one to finish our trip with.

The Dona Filipa Hotel was superb – we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel or location. The pool area was awesome, the breakfasts were great and the entire staff was very nice. Being so close to the ocean and the small beach town with numerous great bars and restaurants, even an ice-cream shop and live music at night was fantastic!

I’m not kidding – everything was perfect – even our driver Fernando was great and really helped us understand a little more about the Portuguese people, their history and culture.
