Dating from 1925, Real Club de Campo de Malaga was the very first course on the Costa del Sol, the combined effort of two noted British architects, Harry S. Colt and Tom Simpson. Operated by the Spanish government’s Paradores Hotel operation, the airport location offers every departing player the chance to get one last round of golf in before returning home, staying for your final night at the Parador located on the course. The combination of parkland and seaside, links-like holes, is charming and quite unusual among the high-tech venues of this coast. This also happens to be the home club of Miguel Angel Jimenez, who plays here often.
