Ganton

Located just a few miles from the sea, Ganton offers many of the same features of a classic links course. Beautifully situated in a peaceful setting on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, this course can become fearsomely difficult when the winds sweep across it. The modern player will find that Ganton puts a premium on accuracy rather than length, with their steep revetted faces, the bunkers are links type bunkers and Ganton has more than a 100 of them.

Ganton ranks among the very best of Britain’s inland courses and has played host to many Amateur and Professional tournaments. Following the staging of the Walker Cup, Ganton has joined Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham & St Annes, and The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers as being the only clubs honoured to have also staged the Curtis Cup and the Ryder Cup. In 2014, US golfer Brady Exber won the British Seniors Amateur by 4 shots after a testing 3 days play at Ganton.
